Week of February 4, 2002

� Massimo tells Sally that he is both proud of Ridge for his manoeuvre and sad because it could cost him his son

� Rick tries to protest the vote, but Ridge states it�s a done deal..Brooke is no longer in charge of FC

� Connor enters as Amber claims the vote is bogus because Brooke is not incapacitated. Ridge states that he isn�t getting away with anything�the board took a legitimate vote

� Connor tells him that his plan is really scummy but also ingenious. When Brooke and Deacon arrive, she is stung by the family�s betrayal, but then again she says it shouldn�t surprise her because they never considered her as part of the family

� Greg pops in and tells Brooke that the project she requested is on the way which she issued ten minutes prior to the board ratifying the change in bylaws which to Connor means that Ridge had no right to use Brooke�s proxy and vote on her behalf

� Bridget is surprised that Tony is siding with Ridge and she explains the history behind how Brooke became the one with the most stock

� Megan says she witnessed the vote but confirms that it has not been notarised. Ridge wants Jonathan to go ahead and stamp it, but he says that Brooke is obviously not incapacitated and is rightfully contesting the resolution. He assures Connor that there was no criminal intent and therefore there is no reason to involve the courts

� Brooke then fires Ridge as CEO of the company but allows him to stay on as head designer. She says that Eric and Thorne may keep their jobs, but she is making some new additions to the staff�Rick as vice-president and Deacon as head of promotions

� Massimo believes that if Ridge�s plan fails that the Forrester�s will turn on him and they may have a chance for a life together

� Greg calls Mass and tells him what transpired at the meeting

� Ridge wants to have a rational discussion with Brooke but she says it�s a waste of their time since she is no longer vulnerable to his charm. She orders him to get back to his work. He is furious and vows not to let her run FC into the ground and declares that whoever is helping Rick will pay a hefty price

� Rick demands that Mass tell him what hi interest is in all this or he will blow his cover with Ridge. He tells Rick that he will do no such thing�. he will be grateful for his new position and let it go at that

� Ridge receives another mysterious package from Mass�he is irate wondering who is doing this to him

� Taylor advises Ridge to take a few days off to help himself through the transition. He says he won�t give Brooke and her minions the satisfaction of him staying away, so she tells him to pull himself together and get back to work

� Amber tells Rick to let things between him and Ridge hell on its own

� Taylor is almost out the door when she bumps into Rick who tells her that he is not there for a fight

� Things quickly escalate and Ridge tells him that if he leaves in the next ten seconds he�ll still have all his teeth�. Rick refuses to budge

� Bridget and Deacon are both glowing over Brooke appointing him as head of promotions. She says that her mom will not regret this decision

� Megan wonders if Brooke hired Deacon because subconsciously she wants to be near him. Brooke tells Deacon that she has to rescind the job offer

� Rick may not have Ridge�s support but he�s confident that others in the family will help him make the transition

� Ridge thinks that Rick is very na�ve to think that he�ll be easily trained and be a great success as vice-president of FC. Ridge becomes livid when Rick says that he�ll have to learn elsewhere. When he refuses to reveal who�s been tutoring him, the confrontation turns physical

� Ridge tells him how things are going to be between them when they get back to work, but Rick refuses to be intimidated

� Amber tells Bridget that she is amazed that Brooke offered Deacon a job given how much they loathed each other in the past. She wonders what happened to change things between them

� Brooke tells Deacon she is sorry but she shouldn�t have offered him the job. He pleads with her to keep him on because he needs a reason to go without her. She allows him to keep the job

� Brooke is alone remembering times she shared with Deacon when Amber enters the room and gets an eye full
